The Bromont International Driving Team is aware of the importance of reducing its environmental footprint to contribute positively to the preservation of our planet. Consequently, this eco-responsible policy aims to guide its practices towards sustainable and responsible management of its resources, while promoting awareness and involvement of all stakeholders.

Accessibility and well-being (including social practices)

  • Implement measures that have a positive impact on the event’s host community.

  • Implement recognition measures for volunteers.

  • Ensure adequate integration and training of employees and volunteers.

Responsible supplying

  • Encourage local businesses by choosing local suppliers.

  • Choose to rent and reuse goods rather than buying new products.

Sustainable food

  • Plan carefully the quantity of meals needed.

  • When possible, demand local and seasonal products for meals.

Residual Materials Management

  • Set up containers for the collection of returnable containers.

  • Promote a system for collecting compostable and organic materials.

  • Promote a system for collecting recyclable materials.

  • Have a strategy for managing food surplus.

Water management

  • Where possible, provide a water station and/or drinking trough and encourage the use of reusable bottles.

  • Promote the use of water-saving guns on garden hoses.

Transport and GHG

  • Vendors are prioritized based on their geographic proximity to the event location.

Governance

  • Use technological means for meetings and encounters.

  • Prioritize digital communications.

  • Reduce displays and printouts.

  • Establish a policy for an eco-responsible approach.

  • Collect data on participant and other satisfaction with eco-responsible measures.

Conclusion

By adopting this eco-responsible policy, Bromont L'international d'attelage is committed to integrating the principles of sustainable development into all of its activities. This policy will be implemented with the active participation and support of all members of the organization to create a more sustainable future for all.
